Steve, it can be a lot of painstaking work to go back to natural wood after it has been primed and painted. I commend you for a job well done and may you enjoy this beautiful historic home for years to come. Only works on non patterned siding like clapboards. The trouble is that, even with wood conditioner, we are running into blotchiness problems with the stain. LB, the only chemical stripper I would recommend is CirtiStrip. The wood you show in these photos looks like American Chestnut which is what we have here in CT on these two houses. These choices for paint stripping tools would really help in our future projects.
